Marvin F. Pixton, III - President
Marv had over twenty-five years of Marine Corps leadership, combat flight experience in helicopters and jets (872 combat missions), and has been a program manager for both helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft. He has amassed more than 500 carrier ladings in propeller aircraft, helicopters, and jets. He had served as a squadron commanding officer and as executive officer for a Marine Amphibious Unit and a Marine Aircraft Group, and has served in high level staff positions.
He spent his last five years of military active duty as the Department of the Navy attack helicopter (AH-1W) program manager and supervised a budget exceeding a billion dollars. Through his leadership, the number of aircraft procured increased over 250%, initial aircraft was delivered in under three years, and was within the established budget.
As an industry program manager, he directed and managed multi-million dollar programs that experienced program growths of more than 600 per cent. His expertise in business development pertained to maintaining liaison with current customers, identifying new market areas, establishing teaming agreements with potential team mates, creating winning strategies for future programs, and winning new programs. He has managed the development and integration of electro-optical systems for military aircraft and had led business development efforts for aircraft modifications and for NASA related integration and test programs.
Upon retiring from ManTech International Corporation, Marv had spent almost seventeen years in private industry upper management pertaining to program management and business development. He led the efforts to develop and secure new business in support of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). He established record of delivering a product on schedule and within budget. His business development results were in identifying new programs, establishing winning proposal strategies, and increasing existing business bases.
After retirement from civilian industry, Marv established his consulting company, Pixton & Associates, LLC. He has advised companies and Government organizations on how to better maximize acquisition procedures, how to deliver products on time, and how to remain within an established budget.
