Joe Harris, dual chapter member and Vice President of the North Carolina Society,  recited John Jay Daly's "Toast to the Flag". A total of 42 compatriots, members of the DAR, spouses, and guests attended the program.  Bad weather forced holding the ceremony in the old Council Chamber inside the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center.
